Mission Statement
White Point Systems, Inc. is an innovative service company that supports the pharmaceutical industry with research informatics for natural products drug discovery.

Unique Technology
NAPIS ^® (NAtural Products Information System) itracks natural product samples through the process of bioassay-directed isolation with links to bioassay results (U.S. Patent 5,978,804). In addition to data mining, researchers can query the geographic information system (GIS) based map and drill down on chemical structures, or vice versa, query for organism / structure / bioactivity relationships and show the results on a map. NAPIS ^® is modular, scaleable, and secure.

Biodiversity Assessment
WPS offers consultation services for biodiversity assessment and predictive modeling of species occurrence that are specifically designed to support natural products field research. Our computer modeling methods emphasize GIS grid analysis and include satellite remote sensing and other advanced data acquisition methods. The maps produced by these efforts are displayed as data layers in the NAPIS ^® GIS module.

Financing
WPS is privately held and is funded by Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant funds from the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute, and by contracts within the pharmaceutical and natural resource management industries.
